Restricted and Prohibited Items (non or limited compensation)

The items listed below represent the main restrictions on shipping but there are many others.

Restricted

These items can be sent but no compensation whatsoever will be given in the event of loss or damage unless stated so in brackets. No compensation will be given where damage is caused to  other items packaged in a box with restricted items. No carriage refund will be given.

Please note there are restrictions on items containing lithium batteries. Please check with us before sending.

  • Baby milk -cannot be sent to China. Please check restrictions before shipping to other eastern countries. i.e, Thailand, Vietnam, etc
  • Car Engines and Gearboxes must have professional certificate of cleaning, to prove they are free of fuel and oil

  • Please note that "Samsung Galaxy Note 7" cannot be sent by air service at all.

Prohibited

Items on the list below should NOT be sent. Sending any of these items could result in Criminal Prosecution and incur additional charges. No compensation whatsoever will be given at all in the event of loss, damage or confiscation of your parcel. No carriage refund will be given,

  • AMAZON returns and shipments to fulfilment centres.
  • Aerosols of any kind (and any pressurised containers such as oxygen cylinders)
  • Aftershave, Perfumes
  • Any items that contain an explosive charge like airbags, life jackets, Christmas crackers, etc
  • Animals, Hunting trophies, animal parts such as ivory, shark fins, etc., remains or ashes, animal by-products.
  • Banderols
  • Batteries (excluding lithium batteries fitted in laptops, drills, etc.,.)
  • Bullion, or any precious metal, including coins
  • Car, van or motorbike bumpers/fairings, panels, doors, etc.
  • Cash and 'Cash-like' negotiable instruments, such as vouchers, bank/credit cards, securities, pre-paid phone cards, sim cards, and stamps
  • Christmas crackers, fireworks, party poppers
  • Cosmetics, make-up to Croatia, Greece, Italy, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain.
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Covid tests
  • Drones
  • E-cigarettes
  • E-Scooters
  • Food to EU countries including dairy, chocolate and sweets of any kind
  • Firearms, weapons, ammunition, (including paintball and accessories), explosives (including swords, bows, kitchen knives, scissors etc)
  • Dangerous or Hazardous goods (these include but are not limited to dry ice, biological substances, flammable liquids, UN classed dangerous goods and any goods specified under IATA, ADR or IMDG regulations
  • HAND SANITIZERS CONTAINING ALCOHOL
  • Hoverboards/Segways
  • Human remains, body parts, blood, plasma, DNA samples, ashes
  • Hygiene products, i.e., shampoo, soap, face creams, etc, cannot be sent to Spain or Italy
  • Illegal goods (these are goods considered illegal in the country of origin, not limited to pirated goods, counterfeit goods and narcotics)
  • Irreplaceable or unique items
  • Ivory or other banned products
  • Jewellery
  • Medical samples
  • Medicines
  • Nail varnish, remover, hairspray etc
  • Paint, sealers or wood stains

  • Personal Data (birth certificates, driving licences, etc.,.)

  • Precious metals (not limited to gold, silver, platinum, bronze or copper)
  • Pressurized containers of any kind.

  • Vitamins to EU countries

Important extract from terms and conditions;

"6.2 Additional claims cover can be purchased at the time of booking subject to a maximum of £10,000. If claims cover is selected in excess of the maximum allowed for that type of item, as shown in the restricted and prohibited items list (above), our maximum liability will be that shown on said list.. We will refund the difference in the claim cover charges if requested (within 28 days of booking). If you select cover for an item on the restricted and prohibited items list, or for a higher amount than is allowed on the list, this does not mean that WPS have entered into a contract to that level of cover, even if we have not refunded the claims cover payment.."

6.3.1 No claim can be made for an item not specifically listed at time of booking, i.e., if you put "clothes" as a description when booking and then say that there is a laptop missing or damaged, the claim will immediately be rejected.

We cannot offer any cover for returns/faulty goods

Car/Bike parts are restricted - Salvaged, reclaimed or used. Please note: Gearboxes must be clean and free of oil and packaged in a strong cardboard, wooden or specialist plastic gearbox carrier. If insufficiently packaged we will charge £40.00 for repackaging.

">TIP: Used or second-hand boxes are not recommended due to their poor strength. Claims may be rejected if such boxes are used.
